Minister Han Changfu met with Mr. Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Agri-food and Forest of France, in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, on June 2, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on deepening the bilateral agricultural cooperation and other issues of mutual interests.
Minister Han Changfu welcomed the participation of the French delegation in the G20 Agriculture Ministers Meeting and appreciated France's contribution to the outcome of this Meeting. He noted that China-France agricultural cooperation maintains sound momentum and enjoy solid foundation in food safety, agricultural trade, and animal health, among others.
To step up the bilateral cooperation, Minister Han Changfu proposed that the two sides convene the 5th Meeting of China-France Mixed Committee on Agriculture and Agri-food Cooperation at a proper time to identify priorities and specific measures to boost future cooperation in a pragmatic manner.
Stéphane Le Foll fully agreed with Minister Han on his proposals and said that he is looking forward to the 5th Meeting.
